Dashboard AI
Use the AI assistant on the supplier dashboard to search orders, customers, and products, create orders, and get answers from the built-in documentation.
Accessing the Dashboard AI
Click the AI button in the bottom-right corner of any dashboard page. A side panel slides in without navigating away from your current screen.
Close the panel at any time by clicking the button again or pressing Escape.
Suggested actions
When you open the AI panel with no conversation history, a set of quick-action tags appears:
| Tag | What it does |
|---|---|
| Create an order | Starts the order creation flow |
| Search customers | Looks up customer information |
| Today's orders | Summarises orders received today |
| Invoice help | Answers questions about invoicing |
| How do I… | Pre-fills the input so you can complete the question |
Click any tag to send that prompt immediately. The tags disappear once the conversation starts.
Docs Q&A
Ask any question about how Orderverse works. The AI searches the built-in documentation and answers based on the relevant sections.
Example questions:
- "How do I set up a price group?"
- "What happens when I confirm an order?"
- "How does Strict Security Mode work?"
The AI cites which part of the documentation the answer comes from. If no matching content is found, it says so rather than guessing.
Searching orders
Ask about your order data in plain language.
Example questions:
- "How many orders came in today?"
- "Show me confirmed orders from ABC Mart"
- "What's the total for orders this week?"
Results are returned as a formatted summary. The AI does not modify orders — search is read-only.
Searching customers
Look up customer information without navigating to the Customers list.
Example questions:
- "When did ABC Mart last place an order?"
- "What's the email address for Fresh Foods?"
- "Which customers haven't ordered in the last 30 days?"
Searching products
Query your product catalogue from the AI panel.
Example questions:
- "What's the current price for SKU-TOM-5KG?"
- "Which products are out of stock?"
- "Show me all products in the Dairy category"
Creating an order
The AI can create a manual order on your behalf. Before any order is submitted, a confirmation preview is shown:
Create order for ABC Mart?
Roma Tomatoes 5kg × 3 $45.00
White Bread × 10 $30.00
─────────────────────────────────
Total $75.00
[Confirm] [Cancel]
Click Confirm to create the draft. Click Cancel to abort — nothing is saved.
Example prompts:
- "Create an order for ABC Mart — 3 Roma Tomatoes 5kg and 10 White Bread"
- "Place a draft order for Fresh Foods: 2 cartons of milk"
Only Admin and Owner accounts can create orders via AI. The assistant checks your role before executing.
Paste & Parse (Sales Rep)
On the Sales Rep page, the Paste & Parse button opens a panel where you can paste unstructured order text — a WhatsApp message, email, or handwritten note — and have the AI convert it into a structured order draft.
How it works:
- Click Paste & Parse on the Sales Rep page.
- Paste the raw order text into the input field.
- The AI identifies the customer and matches each item to a product SKU.
- A preview card shows matched items, quantities, and unit prices.
- Items that could not be matched are flagged — select the correct product manually.
- Click Create Order to save the draft.
Example input:
Hi, this is John from ABC Mart.
Can we get 5 boxes of big tomatoes and 2 cartons of milk please?
Typical output:
Customer: ABC Mart ✓
Roma Tomatoes Box 5kg × 5 $75.00
Full Cream Milk 2L × 2 $12.00
──────────────────────────────────
Total $87.00
Items with low match confidence are shown with a warning and a manual selection dropdown.
Paste & Parse is also available directly from the Dashboard AI chat. Paste any order text and the AI handles parsing automatically.
Tips
- The AI only accesses your workspace's data — it cannot see other tenants' information.
- Conversation history is kept for the current browser session. Refreshing the page starts a new conversation.
- For complex or ambiguous requests, the AI asks a clarifying question before proceeding.
